Dr. Succi research has started providing a single programming paradigm for different computer architectures through a generic parallel compiler for a set based logic language; this compiler has been ported to the CM2, to the Transputer, and to various Unix Machines (Suns, HPs, Linux, ...). Then a library for reusable artifacts has been designed and developed; currently, this library has been ported to Java.
The focus of the current research is on the effects of integrating a reuse policy inside a software development process, in terms of programming language, process maturity, productivity, quality, long term returns of investment, effects on the market structure, relevant accounting techniques, and legal issues.
Other work regards the use of the Internet as the base for software engineering environments, the process for defining standards in software engineering, object oriented, especially frameworks, statistics for software engineers, and the role of modularity in software engineering environments.
Dr. Succi co-directs the Quantitative Software Engineering (QuaSE) Lab at the University of Alberta and the Alberta Software Engineering Research Consortium.

What I am currently writingI am currently writing papers on the effects of reuse on quality, and productivity; on the definition of standards in software; on comparative metrics for different programming paradigms; on domain analysis and engineering.
A categorized selection of my some of my most recent papers ... has yet to come (sigh!).
A rough collection is here...
The theses I am currently offering regard:
The software development part in the thesis is usually done in Java in Windows environment. If you are truly interested in any of them, or if you simply want to get more information about them, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you are simply interested in working with me, please contact me, but do not try to grab some keywords from my papers and build an artificial research plan; rather tell me frankly what you would like to do and what are your goals and objectives ... I like a lot honest and creative people !!!!
